Yesterday I got only six eggs, so the hens were hopping to today. Lucy, the hen in the back, has been setting this spot since Sunday. And Rosa always wants this spot. I noticed a couple of days ago Rosa was clucking like she was getting broody. I hope not. 
Just sit on top of her head; I'm sure she doesn't mind. 
Pepper is outside just a clucking. She is ready now. 
Finally, Peppers turn. I guess it is hard to lay an egg with a hen on top of you.
Skylar had to go to the vet to have her ears checked. Got to make sure they are healed.

Hens can be so weird! Mine do the same, sitting on top of each other wanting the same spot. I have tried multiple nests but no. They all prefer the same one. Leads to broken eggs and lots of cackling.
There are a lot of birdies in that one bed,BOL. Glad your ears are good Skylar

Togetherness... the hens tend to overdo. Wow... 6 eggs, I remember those days. Glad your girls are laying. Hope Skylar doesn't have any more ear problems.
