Poor, Poor Chili; Again

Poor little Chili is having to wear a cone around her head because she has gnawed a raw spot on her back. My fault; I didn't give her the flea medicine and she had to gnaw them off.

This picture is today where it is healing. You should have seen it before. I have left the cone off all day and she hasn't touched it. I put the cone on at night just to be sure, but I think we are on the mend.

I use a cortizone spray that I use on Bella when she chews her paws. It might help. Sorry she got so bad.

We try to convince our dogs that the cone is a fashion statement.

Poor Chilli, not a good look. I just washed all the dogs today, lucky I got a hydrobath that makes it a lot easier. Tammy has a sore just there too, tomorrow we can do the Frontline treatment.

Poor Chilli!!
I rinse Sapphire with diluted apple cider vinegar after baths :) She's allergic to flea treatments :(

Spider (one of our cats) would sympathize. She's had to wear a collar for 2 weeks and counting because she managed to injure a footj and the vet doesn't want her licking her paw until it heals!
And let me tell you, it has been very slow to do that.

Glad to see that Chili is on the mend! :)

Poor girl looks just thrilled that you are taking her picture while she's wearing the cone. :)

Poor little Chili! Well, boo boo's happen and hopefully she won't have to wear the "cone of shame" for too long.

It's fantastic you started a new garden bed. We have heavy clay soil here, too, so I totally understand where you're coming from.

Sorry 'bout the owie. I had a rescue dog come to me with a hot spot. Ugh, it boiled over with pustules and we thought it would never heal up. Now there is a patch of black fur where it used to be silver.

Glad you're starting to heal up. It's nice of your mom to let you only wear that cone at night...
