Finally

I don't know why, but the Goldfinches have not been around very much this year. And it really seems colder this year than last year. Last year I had lots of Goldfinches and House finches at this sunflower seed feeder. This year, maybe twice. I caught a little chickadee at this feeder.

The Goldfinches were at the thistle seed feeder. I just love them; they are so cute.

They just flutter around. It is pretty hard to take a picture of them.

We had a sunflower forest over the summer from volunteers that came up, I think all the finches are dining here.

Thanks for the photos. I miss seeing the wild birds. I think some have gone south. I hear birds up high in the trees but can't get a glimpse of them.

We aren't seeing as many goldfinches this year either. They usually flock to the thistle seed. Hmmm..
I had a thistle sock like yours until they literally pecked through it!
thanks for sharing your pics.

Oh how great.. MeMaw has a bird feeder too with all kinds of Goldfinches and cardinals. She even had a hen pheasant show up while Sis was there a few weeks ago.. Sis even got some pictures of eagles. Way to cool..
