Chili Getting Warm

Chili likes to get in front of the fireplace to warm up. She can get in front of the fire and get really toasty.

After she gets good and warm, then she can move to her pillow on the chair to get a few zzz's. You really can't tell that my dogs rule around here, can you? In fact, a friend of mine, Michael, said he wanted to come back in his next live as mine or Norma's dog.

Anna and Chili

These pictures are a month or so old. Michael had cut down a pine tree and it crossed the branch. My niece, Anna, and Chili were playing on the tree (or bridge, whatever you want to call it).

Okay, say cheese; or just look.

Oh, yea we are best of buds;

but, I got to go.

Stuck

These are pictures I took the end of November when I was raking some leaves. I was putting them in my flower bed in the circle drive. As you can see, I am only about half way through. I thought letting the frost kill the grass was a good idea.

I have been so busy the last couple of weeks that I still have not finished. Not to worry though, I still have lots of leaves I can use.

I have been busy every day; just not real sure I could name everything. I had company all last week; so, that is one. I am hoping to get better at this.

They Are Growing

This is two of the three little chickens I bought last month. The one on the right is the one that had her feathers pecked off her back. You can't see it very well, but they are growing back. The chickens are growing really well also.

The hen on the right is Sweet Potato. She is an Americauna. She is standing on one leg because her right one is hurt. She walks on it, but with a limp. And, I believe, he is the reason she has a hurt leg. He seems rough with them sometimes and I not sure they like him. But to give him a little credit, he is always in a hurry because Foghorn, the white rooster, will chase him. So he has to hit and run. Funny, huh?

Our Little Friends Are Back

Last weekend my friends and their little dogs came over to watch the LSU football game. They will be moving close by soon and get to live in the country also.
First we have Sweetie, the Yorkie.

Then Miss Daisy, the Rat Terrier.

And Mikie, a poodle Rat Terrier; and Taz, a poodle. They are lots of fun and enjoyed the visit.

Her Name is Sissy

So far, I still have her; it looks like I have another dog. I am going to try to take her in to see if she has a chip. If not, I will keep her. She is a sweet little dog. Even after a week, she will sometimes run from me. I have never even yelled at her. She has also been debarked. I had been reading on the net about Shelties and it said they were really noisy. Then when I heard her bark. I knew she had been debarked. Yesterday morning she was out in the yard with Skylar just barking and barking. I think she beginning to feel more comfortable around here. Poppet and Suki were in the pasture by the house and when they heard her barking, they freaked. They went running and I think they must have gone back to the barn. Later yesterday afternoon, she was in the yard and the horses just stood there watching her. That is after they finally figured out what was making that noise. It is a soft squeaking bark.

I think we are all about to get used to each other.
