Family Affair

Saturday we were all laying a water line for over five hundred feet. One running the ditch witch, three of us gluing and laying the pipe and one working with the shut off switches. These are my cousins cows on the other side of the fence wondering what's going on. The calves see Sarge, my nephew's HUGE lab.

We were about three pipes short (no one knows how that happened) so my brother finished Sunday afternoon. We most of it done in three to four hours. The iffy part was crossing a creek.

That is the big bull lying down. He could have cared less what we were doing.

I imagine you are quite happy not to have aroused the attention or interest of the bull.

Becky, how did you guys end up laying pipe at the creek area? We are confronting this same issue. Augh.

Nice job and beautiful animals!

Lana, he used the ditch witch right down to the water edge and then kind of used a shovel to get the pipe down as far a possible. Not far though. He put a pipe, which was 1 1/2 inch in a three inch piece to go in the creek. I think it will eventually fill over. If it doesn't he might try to put it deeper this summer when the creek dries up. I will try to get a picture for you to see.
