Saturday morning I was on my way to the barn and took this picture. There are a few clouds but it is shadowy mostly because I'm facing the sun. But I do like it.

Last Friday I got my first Welsummer egg. It is that little dark brown one on top. I'm excited that they are finally starting to lay; although they are just six months old. My egg business is really picking up.

Then Saturday I got this one. A Buff Orphington laid this. She doesn't usually lay eggs this big; she must have been holding it a while.

Big egg. I'd be interested to know if it's a double yolker.
