While walking through the woods, I found a downed tree with the fungus growing on it. It was like patches of it. 
I also found this mushroom growing on the side of a tree. Weird, huh?

Glad Foghorn is better and out and about. We don't have a rooster. The coyote got him. At least one of my neighbors has a young rooster that has just started crowing. Some of my hens like to crow back at him when he gets started. Pretty funny. I have looked for mushrooms, but it is too dry. Who knows? Maybe we will get some mushrooms after the rain we had last night. I think we need more rain.
Your coyotes sound like they're as troublesome as our foxes here in England. Lovely fungi photos, it's been too dry here, but I don't expect that will last too long!! Kind regards, Kathy
