This is one of my new feeders and hanger. Cute, huh? The birds seem to like it also. I put bird seed in the top section and sunflower seeds in the lower.
I've had the little thin one for a couple of weeks. I had to have more because they go through that little thin one in a day. I would rather not have to put out bird seed every day.
These feeders I have hanging on an old patio umbrella; minus the fabric. I dug a hole and put a large pvc pipe in the ground and then set the umbrella down in that. In the summer I planted morning glory and moon flowers to grow up the pole. The flowers didn't do well last summer. I don't know if it was just too much sun or what.
This little hen's name is Gold Dust. She has a little gold behind her ears and under her neck feathers. She was born the end of June. Her sister, Snow, has been laying eggs for a month; but, I don't think she has yet.
My little fish are huddled down at the bottom. It got up to forty-one today but because my little pond doesn't get sunshine in the winter it still is frozen over except of where the water runs into it.

I like that bird feeder!
Our pond freezes as well except for where the water is running.
Wow, you reached a balmy 41 degrees today. Lucky you!
I love the way you used the old umbrella for your bird feeders. Ingenious! I might do the same thing, as our neighbor has nine cats and I've been trying to figure out how to put a bird feeder in a safe place.
It looks like you have built a nice life for yourself in your retirement.
What a clever way to mount your bird feeders and recycle at the same time.
if i could get the chickens to start producing then i could focus on feeding other birds! lol.. love all of your feeders.. I only have a few, seems like i have to replace them every year.
Birdies look up, the feeders are above your heads.

I have lots of birds that I feed. My bear is napping now so I can. I know, I have a bear, what can I say.
Nice new feeders :)
MeMaw has those bird feeders. The cats sit under it trying to catch a quick snack...
MeMaw even had a turkey one day helping clean up..

That is a gorgeous feeder. I hope I can have a few once we move to the farm. :-)
