No Rain

It is so dry here it is unreal. Where I live we have had less than .20 tenths of an inch in two months. Although the whole state is in drought, the area I'm in is even less the most areas.

There is no grass for the horses. NONE! I have even started feeding them the hay I have for the winter. I can only hope we get enough rain soon to get the Rye grass going. I had the horses moved to my brothers pasture, which had just a little grass, and last Saturday they decided to come home. Scared me too death. I looked out and they were coming down the road. Not good.

Hopefully we will be getting more rain soon.

Horses have a homing instinct? Who knew.

A friend had told us there hadn't been much rain, but 'till I saw your picture I didn't know just how dry it had been.

How big is your pond? I've thought of having a pond, but with a bayou across the street where I've seen 'gators, I'm not sure we should have one.

Have a great weekend!

Wow! Here's hoping you get some rain soon!

I always find it a little scary when it gets that dry with the fire risk, too.

Hope you have had some rain and the rye is growing. Hope the coyotes are staying away too.
Thank you for your comments on my blog.
