I learned this little trick from Callie from On The Front Porch. Pepper was hiding all day from the rooster because I'm sure it hurt her back when they jumped on. I think she is doing better now.
Sorry, I haven't been blogging very much lately. One thing it is so hot out, I don't too much care what is going on outside. That's not true. I really do. Hopefully, I will get better.

The duct tape is a clever idea even if it looks a little strange
Ducked :) heh. poor Pepper. hope the weather will improve soon n u feeling better soon :)
Awww, we hope that'll help her. Don't wait too long to pull it off though or you'll pull out all new feathers. That's what happened with my furs on my belly and the surgery scar earlier this year and it was NOT fun!

Hummm... I need to check out this duck tape thing, some of my hens are featherless too and its looks awful, I feel sorry for them.

Poor Pepper. Hopefully she'll feel better soon.
Another use for duct tape..haha
Ouch! Won't that hurt coming off, and possibly pull out more feathers?
Poor little (big)Pepper! Is it working still? I saw they have all these designer patterns of Duck Tape at Joanne's!
I'm with you on the heat. It has just been so bad this year. Can't wait for a cold front! Maybe it will get down to 95 or something.....
